How to set a production line for Nickel Cobalt Battery.

NiCo batteries are produced by electrochemical process. That is why it is possible to make the identical cells in the multy-cell battery pack. Two separate  lines with rectifiers and tanks are set for nickel positive electrodes and cobalt negative electrodes production. The production can be fully automated.

Cobalt  makes 12%  of the cell pack. Recycling of the batteries bring cobalt  and nickel back into production.

Recycling of NICO batteries - right in the production line.

After the battery's life is over, the active mass on the substrate is easily removed mechanically. Since no binder material is used, the pure nickel hydroxide and Cobalt hydroxide (and related compounds) are accumulated separately and reduced into solid nickel and cobalt powder. Later the metal powder is melted into solid nickel and solid cobalt. Therefore nickel and cobalt  go back into production line to make new nickel or cobalt active electrode mass.

The nickel foil is also melted into the solid nickel. This solid nickel mass is returned to electrodes production line to make nickel substrate for negative or positive electrodes. Or it can be used as packs of nickel foils as opposite-electrodes in production of nickel substrate for positive and negative electrodes.

Therefore we can claim that we create the complete closed-end cycle of utilization of the nickel and cobalt metal.

This will significantly reduce the cost of the new battery for the consumers. For example the customer receives 50% discount of the next battery ordered if he brings the old battery.
